The Language Features of Analyctical Exposition Text

Simple Presents Tense

A present simple tense is a verb form of a sentence that expresses action in the present time, habital action, general truth, or daily activities. 



(+) S + V(s/es) + O

(-) S + don't/doesn't + V + O

(?) Do/does + S + V + O?



Example :

I drink a juice /I don't drink a juice/Do I drink a juice?

He go to cinema/He doesn't go to cinema/ Does he go to cinema?

She love to eat chiken /She doesn't love to eat chiken/Does she love to eat chiken?

 Use Mental Verbs
Mental verbs are action verbs that describe perceptions or feelings.
Example: believe, think, prefer, agree, doubt, trust, etc. Using

Use Saying Verbs
This verb is used to support the author's argument.
Example:
People say…
It's said…
Research indicates…

Using Causal Conjunction (A conjunction that explains the reason)
The use of causal conjunctions shows the cause or reason for what is being discussed.
Example: because, accordingly, despite, due to, for that reason, in that case, yet, otherwise, etc.

Using Connecting Words
Conjunctions are used to combine the arguments presented so that the written text can flow well and be easily understood by the reader.
Example: Additionally, furthermore, not only, also, in addition, moreover, likewise, firstly, secondly
