PASSIVE VOICE
DEFINITION :
the passive voice is used when the person or the thing affected by the main verb becomes the focus. The passive is often used when the person or thing doing the verb is not important, unknown, or obvious.

FUNCTIONAL:
To describe processes,
To convey a more objective tone in news reports,
Provide an introduction in activities more academic and other more formal settings – letters, reports, essays and lecture

For example, criminal acts where the perpetrator is not clearly identified.
"The money was stolen yesterday." It means the money that was stolen yesterday.

>Passive voice formula
Passive voice has a different formula with active voice. In active voice the formula used is:

                                                            Subject + verb + object

>While in passive voice 
launched from the English Page, the formula used is:

                                    Subject + to be + past participle/V3 + by + thing doing action

EXAMPLES:

1. The story is written by me.
(Cerita ini ditulis olehku)
2. The flowers are being watered.
(Bunga ini sedang disiram) 
3. My bread was eaten by my sister. (Rotiku dimakan oleh adikku)
